Dipti, Setting

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle chose the moor as the setting because it is described as this very tall, gated, and creepy area. I think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle tries to portray this sense of eeriness in the moor as it creates this dark mood. The readers feel the mystery they read about the moor. This in turn, makes the moor a perfect setting for the book. Sir arthur Conan Doyle uses very detailed descriptions to tell the readers about the moor adding to the overall intensity of the book.
